Future Brew was created in April 2019 by students at the University of Southampton with a single aim: to join the battle against food waste. When we discovered that almost 900,000 tonnes of bread is going to waste every year (enough food to feed 26 million people!) we knew we had to act. We have created a business model that is environmentally sustainable from start to finish, from the ingredients of our delicious beer to its transportation. In the last few months, we have worked towards finalising our business model, growing partnerships, better understanding the wider issue of food waste and finalising our recipe to bring the best product to our consumers.
